Something is happening!

It's been 11 days since I've decided to change how I eat. In some ways, it's been easier than I thought, and in others, a lot harder. I haven't bought a scale yet, but I do plan to do so soon.

Here's an update to the goals I set for myself:

1- I'm drinking way more water than I ever used to. I make it a point to at least finish one water bottle while at work, and I normally drink 2 bottles of flavoured tea at home. I seriously love the stuff. I pee a lot though, and it's a pain in the butt, lol.

2- I've definitely made an improvement in all my snacking. More fruit/cheese and less chips/cookies. I don't deny myself the chips or cookies, but I really decreased the amount I eat and how often I eat them. I don't need them every single day.

3- Meal moderation has been working out well. It's been pointed out to me from a registered dietician who is trying to teach people to stop dieting and stop denying ourselves "bad" food that forcing veggies down my throat, that I don't like, will backfire, and she's right. So I don't force myself to eat an unfulfilling meal and eat what I want, I just make sure to listen to my body and stop eating when I'm full. Turns out, when I'm not paying attention, I eat more than I want and it makes me feel gross after.

I'm pretty proud of myself for making these changes and it's working. I have a pair of work pants that have a 2 button closure, and for the past few months, I could not button the top one. 2 days ago, I put them on to go to work, and I'm able to fasten the top button again. When I realized I could do that again, well, I was pretty fucking happy! Pretty soon I'll start a home workout routine and continue making better food choices.
